Cheetah Girls Soccer Team
04.10.05 (7:34 pm)   [edit]

Dear Parents,

I’m writing this letter to help provide information of the upcoming plans for the Cheetah Girls Soccer Team.  Please understand the commitment, time and money the Cheetah Girls Team will demand.  With that, you need to realize that you have one of the most understanding Coaches when it comes to your daughters dreams…I also played multiple sports, year round, for 20 years.  I am extremely flexible when it comes to conflicts with activities, family events, or other special interests.

Following the Spring 2005 Soccer Season, the team will practice once a week, weather permitting, from 5:00pm – 6:30pm on Thursday evenings at Cotton Creek Elementary School.

I have listed below a progression plan for the Cheetah Girls beginning in May 2005, with the consent of the City of Westminster Youth Soccer Program.  In order for the Cheetah Girls to continue to develop, I have decided to ask for participation in tournaments, indoor leagues and outdoor leagues as a team.

Please respond to let me know of your daughter’s availability for the tournaments and leagues.  Once I have an idea of who will be available, I will confirm our registration into the tournaments and leagues.

I know some may have some questions…

Why so many tournaments?

We will not participate in all of the tournaments listed.  I wanted to give some options, based on availability of your child.

Why make an age jump in Spring 2006?

This age jump will help develop the skills and abilities of the girls.  With the roster we have for the Cheetah Girls, other Westminster teams will struggle to compete and challenge our team.

What is Inter-league?

Inter-league is a semi-competitive league in which our team will travel or host teams from around the metro area.  This may include: Boulder, Ft. Collins, Colorado Springs, Northglenn, Thornton, Broomfield, Arvada, Littleton, Denver, and others.

Currently, I have 6 commitments to the Cheetah Girls for the next season, and I am in contact with 5 additional families to join the Cheetah Girls at this time.
